FREE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT APPLICATIONS for DISTRICTS
IMPACTED by KATRINA or RITA

MILWAUKEE, WI, October 17, 2005 - ISCorp, exclusive provider of PaC+ managed application services, and Skyward, Inc., developer of K-12 school management software, have teamed up to aid hurricane-affected K-12 school districts by donating systems, software, facilities and personnel needed to run vital student and financial applications, as announced today by Mike Weber, President and CEO of ISCorp.

The free PaC+ Hurricane Relief Program is available to all K-12 districts impacted by Katrina or Rita, including districts that are dealing with substantial increases in student population from families displaced by the hurricanes. "To help communities recover, affected schools need to reestablish critical operations such as student education, accounting and health records," said Weber. "ISCorp and Skyward are providing state-of-the-art school management technology ... so districts can get back on their feet."

PaC+ school management application solutions are used in hundreds of districts, and by thousands of users nationwide. ISCorp and Skyward have leveraged the technology, facilities and personnel of their PaC+ Managed Hosting Solution to help impacted districts immediately begin to address the issues of payroll, student records and other critical functions.

"This solution greatly reduces a district's level of effort and resources needed to run their school management applications." Weber adds, "Our goal is to alleviate some of the stress that educators are feeling, so they can focus more on helping students cope with the aftermath of the hurricanes."

Because the PaC+ Hurricane Relief Program is Internet-based, districts remotely access their student and financial data from anywhere, at any time via computers equipped with Internet connections. Weber stated, "With secure Internet access, displaced educators, students and families can easily communicate while school facilities are being repaired or rebuilt."

The PaC+ Hurricane Relief Program is comprised of world-class people, processes and facilities. District student and financial data will be located at ISCorp's secure Class A data center and maintained by technical experts 7x24.

Any K-12 district impacted by Hurricanes Katrina or Rita is eligible. Whether a district was destroyed or has been overwhelmed with relocated students, ISCorp and Skyward are ready to provide relief:

  • K-12 districts destroyed or damaged: 1 year of free PaC+ service
  • K-12 districts with increased student levels: 6 months of free PaC+ service

Afterwards, each district has the choice to purchase continued PaC+ service at an affordable fixed cost. Affected districts that currently run PaC+ are eligible for special pricing.

Jim King, Skyward CEO, has made the initiative a priority, "This is the right thing to do and we're proud to aid in the relief effort."

Media outlets are encouraged to relay information on the PaC+ Hurricane Relief Program to local district officials.
